On board the 67m Benetti Calex
Having been launched in February 2022, the 67-metre Benetti yacht, Calex has remained a closely guarded secret. Now offered for charter for the first time BOAT looks at her contemporary interiors ahead of her inaugural charter season.
Delivered to an experienced American owner in spring 2022, the 67-metre Calex was something of a first for Benetti, being the first custom project of this size to fully comply with TIER III regulations. The accreditation is thanks to a scrubbing system for the exhaust gases from both the propulsion and generating systems.
With an exterior designed by Giorgio M Casseta Calex is an entirely custom project built in steel and aluminium with a seven-cabin layout that can accommodate 14 guests. The owners specifically requested that the crew quarters include materials and furnishings of a similar quality to those used in the guest accommodation, making working conditions on board more comfortable for her 17 crewmembers.
The interiors of the superyacht are by Benetti's in-house team working closely with the owner and feature a blend of light and dark shades, white sculptures and marble accents.
Calex has six decks, with special attention paid to the owner's deck, which occupies 160 square metres and includes a lounge with bar and a 180-degree view that still offers complete privacy. The sliding glass doors of the master cabin leads to a private open-air lounge forward with two white curved sofas and loose furniture.
The master cabin also features a private office, a spa-like double bathroom with marble, frosted glass and wooden features.
Calex's six further guest cabins include two VIP cabins on the main deck, two kings, and two convertible twin cabins with Pullmans on the lower deck. All cabins have marble ensuite bathrooms and something of a flexible layout, in line with charter clients, with various locations available to provide the perfect spots for socialising or choosing to relax in solitude.
