Netherlands-based yacht builder Oceanco has unveiled the first renderings of the 80-metre superyacht concept Clarity. The striking motor yacht is part of the Simply Custom collection by Oceanco and has been designed by Espen Øino to provide a technical foundation for custom-build superyachts.

The Simply Custom collection was first announced at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2023. "We created Simply Custom because we saw there was a growing demand to build custom yachts in a new way. Owners still want the very best quality in their yachts, and to have something designed and built just for them," explained Oceanco's Group Marketing Director, Paris Baloumis.

The Simply Custom collection has been engineered to provide designers with a canvas to help create a bespoke Oceanco yacht. With over a dozen yachts in the portfolio, the collection partners with some of the brightest creative talents in the yachting industry and can be tailored to suit any owner's particular needs.

Clarity has been designed by renowned yacht designer Espen Øino and portrays his style alongside the Oceanco DNA. "When asked to participate in designing a yacht for Oceanco's Simply Custom collection, my team and I were inspired by one word: SIMPLE!" exclaimed designer Espen Øino. "What does simple mean? To solve a problem in an efficient, elegant and smart way."

Clarity is characterised by sleek aesthetics with optimal functionality. She exhibits clean lines and a contemporary profile, creating a visually striking overall silhouette. "The yacht features very large overhangs in the superstructure to provide shade and to reduce the heat gain inside the vessel on the decks below," explained Espen Øino.

The technical foundation of the Simply Custom collection features a state-of-the-art, all-electrical propulsion and energy architecture system, with Clarity's excess surfaces above fitted with photovoltaic cells and solar panels.
